News

So much has changed in the industry since our last update. Our industry, and our business, have gone from small to substantial: Solar power has entered the mainstream. There were less than 600 qualified installers when we first gained accreditation. Now there are over 3500, mostly grid-connect only.

In January 2013, we purchased premises in Benalla to enable us to consolidate all our operations into one place, and to give our clients better ways of getting in touch with us. As of July 2013, we are installing a large hybrid - battery backed grid connect - system on our roof and in our showroom which will run the office and warehouse. This system allows us to demonstrate working examples of the products and technologies we use, such as AC coupling arrays using Selectronic SP Pro and Kaco inverters.

About us

SUN REAL was founded in January 1995 by Martin Nichol and Richard Morton to offer a quality alternative to the high costs of connecting to and buying electricity in rural areas. Having been involved in solar since the early days, we have a depth and breadth of experience that is rare in the industry and unmatched in the region.

We started out with two very simple aims. Firstly to design and engineer the best and most reliable power systems possible and to install those systems in ways that help to push the envelope of best practice in our industry. The second was to meet or exceed the expectations of our clients with regard to customer service, support and backup.

These aims haven't changed for us, except that now we have nearly two decades of experience as successful designers, installers and service providers. We love what we do and are as passionate about creating great power systems as we ever have been.
